The committee has reviewed its policy re Ted Beaumont Trophy matches. There are problems with getting accurate information readily available on the website when matches are taken out of a round and played as the Ted Beaumont Trophy matches. There is also the loss of a home game by one of the teams in each grade.

Thus, for this year only as a trial, the Ted Beaumont Trophy matches in each grade will be played as stand-alone matches and not count for premiership points. This means that the teams in the Ted Beaumont Trophy will play each other in one extra match for the year.

Also, with the Southside 2 grade being only a six team competition, the teams to play in the Southside 2 Ted Beaumont Trophy will be the leading two teams at the completion of the tenth round on 25 May.

As you know with so many comps they play each division over a few weekends. Our Northside 1 Ted Beaumont Trophy game is on the 8th June I think. I prefer the stand alone game too. Hopefully the Cowboys will be there.

The committee has reviewed the policy re washouts. While the cancellation of the first round of fixtures was a one off event associated with the start of the season, during the season, if 50% or more of fixtures in any grade are washed out, all fixtures in that grade will be cancelled if possible. The implementation of this policy will require the notification of cancellations by 7.00 AM on the Saturday. We realise that this is not always possible and may affect the implementation of the policy. It is essential that on wet weekends all clubs keep checking email, Facebook and the website to find out the current situation. If a match is played because of late notification of cancellations in any grade the played match will stand.
